Brand:  Crisopa 2016; first vintage: 2011.

Zone: Sisán; Ribadumia. 

Grape: 100 %  albariño.

Plot: Manzaniña; 35 years old vines, trained in the traditional Pergola style .

Exposure: facing to the south west.

Soil: decomposed granite and clay soils.

2016 vintage: Warm winter. Early sprout (late February) then vegetative break by a drop in temperature. Hot summer with temperatures above 30ºC that caused hydric stress. Very fast ripening . Beginning of harvest on September 7.

Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly transported to the winery in 15 kg crates. 100% of the grapes foot-trodden in open plastic vessels with 30% whole-clusters included. Skin-fermented with its own yeasts in for 20 days in a vat. Pressed in a vertical press andraised on the lees for 11 months in an old 500 liter barrel.Bottled with modest levels of SO2 and without clarification.

Bottled: august 22, 2017. Aging in bottle for 3 months.

Production: 622 bottles.
