Brand:  Dandelión 2016; first vintage: 2011.

Appellation: Salnes; Rías Baixas

Grape: 100 % albariño.

Plots: Plots O Cor, As Cobas, Choqueira, Bube and Paradada in Meaño village. Plot Bouzas in Ribadumia village. 25 to 70 years old vines, trained in the traditional Pergola style .

Exposure: Plot Bouzas faces to the north west; the other plots face to the west.

Soil: granitic, sandy soils

2016 vintage: Warm winter. Early sprout (late February) then vegetative break by a drop in temperature. Hot summer with temperatures above 30ºC that caused hydric stress. Very fast ripening . Beginning of harvest on September 7.

Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly transported to the winery in 15 kg crates. The grapes were not destemmed before going into a pneumatic press for a low pressure pressing. Static settling for 36 hours. Fermented with its own yeasts, without the use of any additional product apart from sulphur. Cold tartaric stabilization. Bottled without clarification.
