Brand:  Miñato da Raña 2017; first vintage: 2014.

Zone: Laderas del Miño.

Grapes: 60 % mencía, 30% garnacha tintorera y 10% others.

Plot:  A Raña; more than 100 years old vines. Organic farming.

Exposure: facing to the south.

Soil: granite, on slopes looking towards the river.

2017 vintage: Early budding; Spring with hard mildew and frost attacks in April; Summer with high temperatures and very dry. Early harvest made on August 26.

Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly transported to the winery in 15 kg crates. Foot-trodden in open 600 liter French oak barrels with 100% whole-clusters included. Fermented with wild yeasts in open 600 liter French oak barrels. Raised in used 500 liter French oak for 9 months with no racking. No stabilization or clarification.

Bottled: june 11, 2018 (fruit day).

Production: 661 bottles.
