Brand:  Nanclares 2014; first vintage: 1997.

Appellation: Salnes; Rías Baixas

Grape: 100 % albariño.

Plots:  Casal, Manzaniña, Granxa, Inxertal  y Soverribas; 30 to 100  years old vines, trained in the traditional Pergola style .

Exposure: Soverribas faces to the noth west; rest of the plots face to the south west.

Soil: granitic, sandy soils.

2014 vintage: Spring rainy and warm; rainy and cold summer; late maturing due to rain. The harvest ended on October 5.

Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly transported to the winery in  15 kg crates. The grapes were not destemmed before going into a pneumatic press for a low pressure pressing. Static settling for 36 hours. Half of the cuvee was fermented and raised in an old French tina while the other half was fermented and raised in small steel vats for 8 months. No Malo. Bottled with modest levels of SO2 and without clarification.
