Grape: 100 % albariño.
Plots: Paraje Mina; more than 30 years old vines, trained in the traditional Pergola style .
Exposure: Facing to the west.
Soil: granitic, sandy soils.
2016 vintage: Warm winter. Early sprout (late February) then vegetative break by a drop in temperature. Hot summer with temperatures above 30ºC that caused hydric stress. Very fast ripening . Beginning of harvest on September 7.
Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly transported to the winery in 15 kg crates. The grapes were not destemmed before going into a pneumatic press for a low pressure pressing. Fermented and raised on the lees for 9 months in an old oak 500 liter barrel and in a 500 liter steel vat. Bottled with modest levels of SO2 and without clarification.
