Brand:  Soverribas 2016; first vintage: 1997.

Appellation: Salnes; Rías Baixas

Grape: 100 % albariño.

Plot: Manzaniña; 35 years old vines, trained in the traditional Pergola style .

Exposure: facing to the south west.

Soil: decomposed granite and clay soils.

2016 vintage: Warm winter. Early sprout (late February) then vegetative break by a drop in temperature. Hot summer with temperatures above 30ºC that caused hydric stress. Very fast ripening . Beginning of harvest on September 7.

Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly transported to the winery in 15 kg crates. The grapes were not destemmed before going into a pneumatic press for a low pressure pressing. Fermented with its own yeasts and raised on the lees in a 11 year old, 2200 liter French tina for 11 months, with battonage. Bottled with moderate sulfur levels and without clarification.

Bottled: August 14, 2017. Aging in bottle for 3 months.

Production: 2.607 bottels and 30 magnums.
