Brand:  Soverribas 2014; first vintage: 1997.

Appellation: Salnes; Rías Baixas

Grape: 100 % albariño.

Plot: Manzaniña; 35 years old vines, trained in the traditional Pergola style .

Exposure: facing to the south west.

Soil: decomposed granite and clay soils.

2014 vintage: Spring rainy and warm; rainy and cold summer; late maturing due to rain. The harvest ended on October 5.

Vinification: Clusters selected by hand in the vineyards. Quickly transported to the winery in  15 kg crates. The grapes were not destemmed before going into a pneumatic press for a low pressure pressing. Fermented and raised on the lees in a 10 year old, 2200 liter French tina for 8 months, without battonage. Then aged for 6 months in bottle before release. Bottled with moderate sulfur levels and without clarification.
